Governing from the Regions

The Palaszczuk Government believes in consensus and consultation and an opportunity for the community to have their say is via Governing from the Regions.

Governing from the Regions is an opportunity for the government to listen to local businesses, families and workers to hear about their ideas to help make their community a better place and to discuss the issues that are important to them directly with a Minister or senior departmental official.

Governing from the Gold Coast (3–7 April 2017) has been postponed so the government can focus on the response and recovery from Severe Tropical Cyclone Debbie.

The government is committed to Governing from the Gold Coast and a future date for Cabinet to return will be scheduled.
