Queensland to host G20 Leaders’ Summit

Queensland has been selected to host the G20 Leader’s Summit in 2014.

The G20 Leader’s Summit is the premier forum for international economic cooperation and decision making among the major economies of the world, with members from 19 countries and the European Union.

The influx of around 7,000 delegates and members will provide for the summit will provide direct investment in Queensland through the use of hotels, local service providers and will create jobs in the lead up and planning of the Summit.

The summit is scheduled for November 15 and 16 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, with a G20 Finance Ministers’ meeting to be held in regional Queensland.
