Freedom of Information Review
The Freedom of Information Independent Review Panel has released its report, The Right to Information. The report recommends a new model for Freedom of Information legislation.

Climate Change in Queensland
Climate change is one of the most significant environment, economic and social challenges facing today’s world. The Queensland Government is investing $430 million to tackle climate change through the Queensland Climate Change Fund.

Queensland’s action plan for health
The Health Action Plan, announced in October 2005, started the reform and renewal of the public health system. The Queensland Government has built on the initial funding commitment, providing an extra $2 billion in funding to take the 2007-08 budget to $7.151 billion.

Organ and tissue donation
Organ and tissue transplantation can save lives or significantly improve quality of life for many Australians. It's an effective and well established treatment and Australia has one of the world’s best clinical outcomes for organ and tissue transplants. Yet Queenslanders are suffering because of low rates of organ and tissue donation.

Water Fluoridation
The Queensland Government has committed $35 million to rolling out a capital program to ensure that more than 90 per cent of Queenslanders would have access to fluoridated water by 2012.

Queensland 2020 Forum
Premier Anna Bligh ensured Queensland voices were heard at the Australia 2020 Summit and again at the Queensland 2020: Ideas to Action forum.

Queensland floods
Floods and monsoonal rains caused widespread damage across Queensland in early 2008. The Queensland Government provided support and assistance to people affected by flooding across the state.
