    Community Cabinet

Community Cabinet gives individuals and community groups the chance to make formal deputations to ministers or chat informally over a cup of tea at a public gathering in their area.  Anyone is welcome to attend.

Community Cabinet events are announced two to three weeks out in local newspapers and on this website.

    Why hold Community Cabinet?

The more ways our Government can support communities throughout Queensland, the better. We regularly hold events across the state so we can listen to what you have to say and act on any issues.

Community Cabinet functions give you the chance to meet with ministers, either with a formal deputation or over a cup of tea.  It’s a way of bridging the gap between government and the people.

I am committed to leading a Government for everybody, no matter where they live in Queensland, through Regional Parliament gatherings, Governing from the Regions and Community Cabinet throughout the year.

    Anna Bligh MP
    Premier of Queensland

    Apply to attend

Anyone can come along to a Community Cabinet. Formal deputations occur at these events, and give you the chance to discuss issues directly with ministers.  Deputations are limited to 15 minutes per meeting.  It is recommended that you request a formal deputation to ensure you meet with the representative of your choice.
